Here is a list of questions that we get asked by our guests along with answers. We hope you find it useful and if you can't find what you're looking for or have a question you'd like us to answer then please give us a ring!
What’s the weather like?
From December to January, it is cold with temperatures often below zero, which means perfect conditions for snow. In February and March, the weather is warmer and by the end of the season, you can ski in t-shirts and a light fleece. Whilst in summer the weather in Morzine is often in the high 20′s in July and August.
However, as with most high altitude destinations, the weather can change quickly, so you should never set off on a hike without spare layers of warm and /or water-proof clothing. However, storms will only normally last just a few hours, giving way to bright cloudless skies again. Although hot during the days, the nights can be a little cooler than on a traditional beach holiday (often a welcome change), so pack a sweater.
Do you cater for vegetarians and other dietary requirements?
Yes we do and we need to know in advance so we can shop accordingly. Once you have booked your holiday with us. we will be given access to ‘My Holiday Booking’ booking area, where you can let us know your requirements and this can be done at any time of the day but must be completed three (3) weeks prior to your arrival.
What time can we arrive at our accommodation?
In chalets and hotels you can arrive any time after 10am, although the rooms will not be ready until about 4pm due to cleaning. You can access your apartment after 4pm and sometimes we can offer bag storage.
What time must we leave by on departure day?
In hotels and chalets you must be packed and out of your room by 10am so that your room can be made ready for the next guests! Apartment guests must leave the apartment clean and tidy by 9am.
Which non-skiing activities are available?
Activities include paragliding, show-shoe outings, horse drawn sledges and husky dog sledging excursions. See our Non-skiers in Morzine section.
Where can I hire ski/snowboard equipment from?
We offer a ski and boot delivery service to our chalets and apartments which is booked on-line. We also have partnerships with hire shops which offer discounted rates to Ski and Summer Morzine guests. All this information will be provided in ‘My Holiday Booking’ booking area once you have booked your holiday with us.
How do we organise ski school?
You can pre-book your lessons with one of our recommended partners before your holiday. All this information will be in ‘My Holiday Booking’ booking area once you have booked your holiday with us. It is essential that you ‘pre-book’ lessons direct with your chosen provider before your holiday starts, particularly in peak weeks.
How do we organize lift passes?
We offer a lift pass service where you can purchase your lift passes in advance and they will be waiting for you when you arrive so there is no queuing, this is especially beneficial if you are on a ski weekend or peak holiday times when lift pass kiosks are very busy and queues are long. If you need a lift pass for more than 6 days then you will need to bring a photo.
All lift pass information such as prices and types will be available in ‘My Holiday Booking’ booking area once you have booked your holiday with us and you will be able to choose, book and pay for them at your leisure. This year you can now buy your pass is Euro’s and pay EXACTLY the same price with us as you would in resort.
Do I need to take my passport and have Swiss money for the Swiss resorts?
NO, leave it in the chalet. There are no border controls in the Portes Du Soleil and all the restaurants and shops take euros.
