Food, Glorious Food

At Ski and Summer Morzine we love our food

In our eyes a good skiing holiday isn’t complete without good food and wine, which is why we strive to source the best local ingredients and all our chefs are professionally trained (some have worked in Michelin starred restaurants) so understand quality, service and presentation. By carefully hand-picking restaurant chefs we allow them free rein when it comes to menus allowing them to show off  their natural talents.

Food in all our catered ski chalets is healthy, hearty and ‘gastro style’. Afternoon tea will be waiting for you on your return from the mountain and a hearty breakfast to start the day.

Evening meals are three courses followed by a local cheese board – that’s if you can fit it in, served with handpicked French wines.  We can cater for any dietary requirements with prior notice.

All our ski chalets feature stylish dining areas where you can sit down and chat about the days events. Dinner is a leisurely affair served with a choice of good quality house wine, however, once it’s finished you can help yourself to the honesty bar.
If you have any special requests for birthdays, special occasions, please let us know and we’ll be happy to organise any extras.

Sample Evening Menu

  • Camembert and pumpkin cigars, mulled spiced chutney, toasted pumpkin seeds
  • Fillet of pork, mustard and herb crumb, truffled cannellini beans and caraway roasted carrot
  • Iced sherry parfait, roast plums, pink peppercorn meringue
  • Selection of local cheeses with crackers/bread and home made chutneys
  • Coffee or tea

Apéritif and canapés

Every evening before dinner you will be offered a selection of canapés with a glass of Kir Royale to ease you into the mountain spirit!  Please note: Every chalet has a ‘staff day off’, we will be more than happy to recommend and pre-book a great local restaurant on your behalf.

Hearty start to your day

Cooked breakfast is usually served at an agreed time, however, we also have a selection of cereals, muesli, fresh fruit, yoghurts, fresh crusty french bread with jams and unlimited coffee and tea. Plus of course… the snow report!
On staff day off, fresh bread, croissants and continental breakfast is served.

Afternoon ski tea

After a hard day on the mountain you can head back to the chalet for some freshly-baked cake, cookies and bread and jam.  Unlimited tea, coffee and hot chocolate are available throughout the day. All our catered chalets have espresso coffee machines or a Nespresso coffee machine and Tetley and a selection of herbal teas.
