The Backyard

The best feature of the Chalet Nantégué is its very own snow park in the garden.

First started seven years ago, the ‘Backyard’ has grown ever since and has become infamous in Morzine. Everyone in the chalet gets a chance to come up with ideas to build and improve the park, and it can be used by riders of all levels. A steep bank in the garden provides a perfect natural run and the outdoor lighting means it can be and regularly is, ridden late into the night often while enjoying winter barbeques.

In the first winter a small spine was built, since then hand-made rails and boxes have been added as well as outdoor lighting. Now we also have a wall ride and a log jib. Every year weather permitting, the Backyard jams are held where 100′s of people come to ride, watch or party into the small hours.

In winter 2010, we added our own mini ramp, so all winter-long the garden can be used whether there’s snow or not.
