Message from the MD.

 

“I want to take this opportunity to let you know about our pricing policy during this time of uncertainty over the £/€ exchange rate, where we have suffered an increase in our costs of around 18% since we fixed our prices at this time last year.

 

I know that some of our competitors are passing on the whole of this increase to their clients.  Others have decided to quote their prices in Euro’s to ensure that they are buffered against exchange rate variances. 

Currently, the exchange rate seems to be stabilizing, so we have decided to absorb approximately half of the exchange rate variance in our margins. This means that, on average, we will limit our price increases to single-digit (average 8%) increases for winter 2008-09.
