Everything you need to know about Morzine

Morzine was originally a small farming and mining community and the first lift to be installed was the Pleney cable car in 1934 and since then the town has grown into a ski resort but has still retained its traditional wooden chalets with slate roofs.
Is in the Haute Savoie region of France and part of the massive Portes du Soleil ski area that stretches across fourteen resorts through France and Switzerland.  It is just over an hour from Geneva airport, making it one of the easiest resorts to reach from the UK.

Morzine is a very picturesque and it feels like a French town rather than a ski resort and in the last few years it has installed new lifts and sports facilities,  new bars and restaurants have popped up meaning that it can hold it’s own against many of the big name resorts in the Alps.
